Duffy Dog Chao

Duffy Dog Chao 4/29/1998 to 3/20/2010

This morning started out very normal. As usual, I was taking everything for granted. I went outside to walk Duffy and he wouldn't get up. Needless to say, an hour later, I was looking into his eyes with my wife by my side telling him I loved him for the last time. It is tough making the decision to end the life of the most loyal friend you ever had. Duffy knew what was coming. The only time he picked his head up from the floor was when I came to sit next to him to say my last goodbyes. He was in extreme pain. He looked in my eyes and I knew. It was time.

I don't know when and where one has that epiphany that changes their entire outlook on life but mine was today.

I love you Lisa. You are my partner and my best freind in this life. You have been so loyal and I take it all for granted. It is you that will be with me until the end. It is you that has loved me through it all. Thank you for being true to yourself and true to me.

I take all of you for granted. Know that I love you all and thank you for loving me so much.

LIA'S 4TH B-DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Lia is 4 today!!! She woke up singing happy birthday to herself, came into the bedroom, stood up on the bed and began to explain to us that she had now graduated into big girl status. Hold on Lia, big girl status will come soon enough. Lisa and I are so very proud of her. Before you know it, she will be introducing us to her first boyfriend who will not leave our house without some kind of physical harm done to him. She will be attending her first school dance which I will be a chaperon of and she will be driving which will be limited to a Walmart parking lot before it opens. I am just kidding. Lisa will make sure I keep a good balance with her. This past year, with the help of Rosie, Brian, Mom, Dad Mamma Leyva, Lisa and I, Lia has really come into her own with her since of humor, love, style, playfulness and love for being a GIRL!!!! Princess this and painted nails that; pink for breakfast lunch and dinner!!!! Lisa is in heaven. Lia and Lis are two peas in a pod. I am putting money away now in anticipation of the many "Girls Day Out"that are yet to come. This year, Lia established her love for music, singing, clothes, long hair, laughing and playing with her baby dolls. She LOVES having girlfriends over. She is very sociable and care free. This coming weekend, we will have a big party for her which I will blog about so stay tuned.
MOMMY AND I LOVE YOU BABY. HAPPY B-DAY!!!

San Francisco

I was in San Francisco this past weekend visiting my brother and sister! Rustin and Ash are about as good a siblings as you can get. It is great to reunite and visit them while in their own element. Brad turned 32, Ash is 17 weeks pregnant, Rus is skinny but his hair makes up for the lack of muscles and Kels and her fam should start a preschool with all the kids they have running around. Mom and dad were in bliss being briefly reunited with their kids all under one roof. I just got home and Lisa looks amazing and the kids jumped on me celebrated my arrival. I haven't stopped feeling overwhelmingly fortunate the past 4 days.

Rus, dad and I took an amazing hike that took us to the top of San Fran. I don't think there is anything more peaceful than where we were. Dad made it up, over and arouind everything that the trail put before him. He did pretty good for 60. It was a few hours that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Lucca's 1 years old. They grow up so fast and beautiful in her case. I can't wait until Christmas when all the kids are running around screaming "Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle STOP!!! Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle GO!!!!!

I had a blast. Thanks bud for insisting that I come out there.
